This drug is taken once a day at a dosage of 10 mg (1 tablet or 2 teaspoons of syrup). It should be taken with pure non-carbonated water. The drug intake doesn’t depend on food intakes. If the patient’s state isn’t better in 3 days of using the drug, its taking should be stopped because of its ineffectiveness.

During the third trimester of pregnancy, Claritin may be used only according to the indications, as its harmful effect on the fetus hasn’t been set up. Loratadine does not affect the process of giving birth, so it can be taken in the late pregnancy.
